Vinod Gupta Is A Self Made Millionaire Who Donates A Lot Of His Money To Charity

Vinod Gupta is a business leader who was born in India. He came to the United States in order to finish his college education and ended up starting own company in the country. His family had borrowed the money he needed to fly to the U.S., and he had to take out a small bank loan to startup his business. That ended up being one of the best decisions he had ever made in his life because he turned his company into one that was worth more than $600 million. His company’s name was infoUSA, and he moved on to create the Everest Group afterwards.

Once Vinod Gupta became a millionaire, he decided that he would donate a lot of his money to charity. He helped to create the Vinod Gupta School of Management in 1993, and the school is now offering many different programs for students in India. The school is known for its quality staff and has continued to grow over the years. Today, after being around for two and a half decades, the school has one of the fullest libraries in India.

Vinod Gupta also helped to build the Ram Rati Gupta Polytechnic. This is an all-women’s polytechnic, which is located in his home town of Rampur Maniharan. Recently, he has helped to set up the Ben Gupta Endowed Fund for International Legal Education. The fund was named after Gupta’s son and is a scholarship that helps students who come from poorer countries.

Vinod Gupta was recently praised by president Bill Clinton in a book he wrote. He was also honored by the Monterey Institute of International Studies with an honorary doctorate. Gupta is happy just being able to work these days. He recently commented that working is like a vacation compared to where he grew up, which was a small village in India without electricity, running water, or vehicles.
