Jeremy Goldstein’s Charity Event

Mr. Goldstein’s firm has been successful for many years, and Mr. Goldstein himself has captained the firm through a number of acquisitions and mergers. The firm has overseen transactions with big banking clients like J.P. Morgan Chase & Company/Bank One Corporation and the Bank of America Corporation. Mr. Goldstein has also worked with energy giants like Chevron/Texaco.

In May of 2019, Mr. Goldstein hosted a lavish gala to benefit the New York-based Fountain House, an organization that helps individuals with mental illness. The event was held on the rooftop of New York’s Nomad Hotel, and tickets sold for $5000 each. For their donation, guests received a world-class meal and an enormous selection of rare and vintage wines.

Fountain House began in 1944 when a group of people who were struggling with mental illness decided to band together to help one another. The group was originally called “We are not alone” and used a method which combined community involvement and education to help its clients. In 1948, the group had expanded so much that a property was required to house all of their clients. The organization purchased a large house with a fountain in front. This fountain came to symbolize the work that the group was doing, so they changed their name to Fountain House.

Fountain House still uses its original model today. Clients of Fountain House are given the means to earn diplomas, find jobs, and form friendships in the community. They also serve the community through their skills, such as culinary arts, horticulture, and education. The Fountain House model ensures that individuals suffering from mental illness can regain control of their lives and become an active member of the local community. Fountain House is also fighting against mental illness in the homeless population and is striving to house many of New York’s homeless individuals.
