Rick Shinto is the CEO of InnovaCare Health. Mr. Shinto has more than two decades of experience in managed care and healthcare. He started his career as an internal medicine specialist and pulmonologist in Southern California and was the CM Officer at North American Medical Management of California (NAMM). Rick Shinto served with Aveta Inc. from 2008 to 2012 as the company’s CEO. He stayed with Aveta Inc. until it was sold. He also held positions at the MedPartners Company and Medical Pathways Management. He was the VP of Medical Management at MedPartners and the CEO at Medical Pathways Management. He was also the CM Officer at Cal Optima Health Plan.
Mr. Shinto’s superior skills are why he has earned a number of awards that include the Access to Caring Award. He was given this award for his efforts to make a change in providing more individuals with access to affordable healthcare plans. He was also named the Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012 and a Top Minority Executive in 2018. He has a number of degrees that include a bachelor’s of science, a medical degree, and an M.B.A.
Penelope Kokkinides: Chief Administrative Officer at InnovaCare Health
Ms. Kokkinides is currently the Chief Administrative Officer at InnovaCare, but she also served as the Chief Operating Officer at the company. Before her time at InnovaCare Health, she was the Chief Operating Officer at Aveta Inc. In addition, Ms. Kokkinides worked for Centerlight Healthcare, Touchstone Health, and AmeriChoice. When she was employed at AmeriChoice, she was a key player in the development and implementation of the firm’s health model.
Penelope Kokkinides has a bachelor’s of biological science, a master’s degree in social work, and a post-master’s program advanced degree in substance and alcohol abuse. She has extensive skills and knowledge designing clinical programs and overseeing healthcare processes and operations that improve organizational infrastructure.
