Eric Lefkofsky is Helping Disruptive Tech Develop

Eric Lefkofsky is known around the world for his business endeavors as an entrepreneur, but he is also hard at work as a philanthropist. He and his wife are so dedicated to helping others through different causes that they created the Lefkofsky Family Foundation in order to formalize and central their efforts. The mission of the foundation from Eric Lefkofsky and his wife is to enhance the communities in the different areas that it serves mainly through efforts that are focused on helping the children in the area. So far, the Lefkofsky Family Foundation has helped more than 50 organizations through monetary donations and other efforts.

The organizations that Eric Lefkofsky focuses his philanthropic efforts mainly on art and health care. At Chicago’s Lurie Children’s Hospital, he serves as one of their Trustees. In addition, he is also on the Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s Board of Trustees. While he may be one of the wealthiest people in the world, he has not forgotten how important it is to give back and have a positive impact on the world. In 1994, Eric Lefkofsky earned his Juris Doctors at the Law School of the University of Michigan. In 2001, he founded Innerworkings with his friend Brad Keywell with whom he also founded Echo Global Logistics. In 2006, Echo Global Logistics went public on the stock market as ‘ECHO’. In 2010, he and Keywell founded Lightbank that was created to help companies in and around Chicago develop. The venture firm puts a lot of focus on disruptive technology that they believe has the potential to create some big changes in different industries.
